About Us

The House of FeedingIlé Onjẹ Aláàánú

A Christian compassionate charity - who we are, and the heritage of hospitality we carry.

Rooted in Yoruba compassion and open to every community, ALAANU fights hunger with dignity - serving families, elders, and children from Lagos to London, Abuja to Houston, and across the global diaspora.

Our table has no gatekeepers: neighbours of every ethnicity and faith are welcome. Guided by gentleness, integrity, and unity, every meal is given with respect - because no one should choose between dignity and a full stomach.

Àṣà wa kò ní parun · Ìdílé wa kò ní ṣọ̀tẹ̀ · Ọ̀rọ̀ wa kò ní padà
Our culture endures · Our family stands · Our word returns not

Oúnjẹ - Food shared is love made visible

Ọ̀gbọ́n Àwọn Bàbá - Wisdom of the Elders

Before coins, there was ẹ̀bùn - gift. Before banks, there was ẹ̀sùsú - collective trust. Sharing food is ceremony: gratitude spoken, neighbours remembered, strangers welcomed.

ALAANU weaves timeless compassion with modern hunger relief - every gift offered so that people of every background may eat with dignity.

  • Ìbọ̀ - Reverence
  • Ìfọ̀kànsí - Deep respect
  • Ìtẹ́wọ́gbà - Gratitude

Mo dúpẹ́ · Mo fẹ́ràn · Mo ṣe - We thank · We love · We act

The love of God has no gatekeeper - everyone eats.

Christian, Muslim, traditionalist, or none - if you are hungry, there is a place for you at our table.

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat.” - Matthew 25:35
